Dr Julian Dockeray

Dr Julian Dockeray is Clinical Director of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Mount Carmel Hospital. A graduate of Trinity College Dublin, he obtained his Doctorate in Medicine in 1986 and was awarded the prestigious Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland medal for research.

He is a member of the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.

He has a special interest in Antenatal Care and Fetal Medicine and is actively involved in developing these services in Mount Carmel Hospital.

His special areas of interest in Gynaecology are pelvic pain, disorders of menstruation for which he has had several research papers published. He trained in IVF at Bourn Hall in Cambridge and works closely with several units in Ireland and abroad. Operative procedures include laparoscopy, hysterectomy, prolapse, vaginal reconstructive surgery and the latest endometrial ablation techniques.
